Welcome to NextRide's Common Features help page! Here, we'll introduce you to the key features of our transportation app, making it simple for you to plan your journeys and access real-time information for routes, stops, vehicles, and more. Learn about Travel Search, Route View, Vehicle View, Stop View, and Place View to enhance your transit experience.
Using Travel Search
The search bar helps you navigate to your destination. Clicking a search bar changes the active panel, allowing you to type a route, stop, or location. The list of results dynamically updates as you type. Save your Home and Work locations for easy access, and use your Current Location if you've granted the app permission.
Route View
The NextRide app provides information on specific branches via Route View. You can view the entire route, stops, and real-time vehicle data. Use the icons to access alerts, favorite a route, or change the travel direction.
Vehicle View
Click on a vehicle icon in a map to access real-time information, including position, travel direction, and upcoming stops. View stop statuses and estimated arrival times, and click on stop IDs for more information in the Stop View.
Stop View
Stop View displays a stop's position on the map, route cards, and vehicle timings. Sort route cards by name or departure time, filter by transit type, and favorite a stop. View stop alerts and click the blue arrow to add the stop as a destination in the trip planner.
Place View
Place View, similar to Commute, shows routes near a location within a given radius. Adjust the search radius, and sort and filter routes by various criteria. Click the blue arrow to add the place as a destination in the trip planner.
